AI Usage in me&u interviews

“AI helps us make decisions, it doesn’t make decisions for us.” We all know AI tools are part of the new norm in our day to day work. So how do we evaluate candidates fairly while acknowledging this?

Our Philosophy

AI as Your Sidekick, Not Your Substitute: At me&u we view AI as a tool that should enhance human capabilities, not replace fundamental skills, critical thinking, or domain expertise. Strong foundational knowledge is required to properly evaluate, refine, and implement AI generated solutions.

Keep it Real: We appreciate candidates who are straightforward about their AI usage. Show us how these tools fit into your workflow, we're curious!

The Genuine You: Our interviews aim to see the real you - how you tackle problems, make decisions, and think on your feet, with or without AI assistance.

Human Connection Matters: In a world of algorithms, being able to explain complex ideas simply and build relationships remains invaluable. These uniquely human skills are what we're after.

Team Player Mindset: We're looking for people who collaborate effectively, both with their human teammates and their AI tools. Emotional intelligence doesn't have an API (yet).

What This Means for You

TLDR: Feel free to use AI tools when it makes sense, like during the practical parts of our interview process, (for example, the role specific skills challenges). We'd also love to hear about how you're using them to enhance your own skills.
